Puig de na Fàtima is located in the ‘Estret de Valldemossa’. The hike is relatively intense, with some parts with a difficult terrain, as well as a very unclear path, which can make it a bit hard for begginers. Still, when reaching the top the views are amazing, they span from Palma to Valdemossa, and almost all the Pla, which makes all the hard hike up definitely worth it.
The route begins at «S’Estret de Valldemossa». The first part of the hike takes place in the forest, which makes it relatively hard to find the correct path. But for now, the hike doesn’t get very intense, it does so when leaving the forest.
After the forest, you will come out to a rocky zone, and this is when the hike gets quite difficult, both because of the terrain and the intense hike up, which is why I wouldn’t recommend it to absolute beginners.
After about 45min in the rocky area, you will finally reach the top, where you will get to see the amazing views of (almost) all the island. We were also very lucky and we got to see vultures flying directly above our heads, and amazing and very rare view nowadays.
All in all, if you are looking for a challenge and sweating a bit, this is definitely and excursion you should do. But if, on the other hand, you are looking for an easy route, more as a relaxed walk than as a hike itself, I wouldn’t suggest this route.
